A recent analysis of demand for and supply of workforce in the Dalton area reveals a fundamental disconnect, particularly for the floor covering industry. The Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce asked Dr. Laudeman to analyze workforce development for strategic gaps, ways to fast track people into critical positions, and how to create a more coherent workforce pipeline.

Dr. Laudeman's presentation will chart the workforce landscape to show where the rift is between employers and workers, why it occurred, and how it might be closed. There will be ample time for discussion and feedback.

Greg Laudeman, Ed.D., is an independent expert in talent- and technology-based economic development. Dr. Laudeman is an entrepreneur and researcher. He worked at Georgia Tech for over a decade, has degrees from UTC, Georgia Tech, and Michigan State, and has over 20 years of experience in technology sectors.
